Saint-Chamond là một xã trong tỉnh Loire in the Rhône-Alpes region miền trung nước Pháp.
Overview
It is situated 13 km east of the city of Saint-Étienne and approximately 45 km southwest of Lyon. Saint-Chamond is the largest town in the Vallee du Gier conurbation and is the third-largest population centre in the Loire department, after Saint-Étienne and Roanne.
Quadruple Formula One world champion Alain Prost was raised Lorette, a commune of the town.
Saint-Chamond is named after a seventh century saint.
